First, we partnered with the Rotary Club of Athens to jointly award scholarships to two young ladies in the Athens Community Career Academy, Annsley Patterson and Karmen Hill. In addition, the Ashton Hope Keegan Foundation also awarded each of these young ladies an academic scholarship to Athens Technical College.
In early September, we were able to award continuing education scholarships to ten women – several of whom were previous GED scholarship awardees from Ashton’s Foundation! Among the awardees are Chelsie Rudz, Pyae Tun, Annette Horne, Allison Jackson, and Trevyanka Forbes.
To round out the semester, we were able to grant GED scholarships to another four applicants – Betsy Turner, Courtni Haygood, Brenda Osorio, and Jacie Sheridan.
